American University of Sovereign Nations (AUSN) is honored to have signed a MOU with Rural Community Development Center - RCDC Nepal.
The Rural Community Development Center (RCDC) is a non-profit making and non-governmental locally based organisation, located rurally, that has a contact office at Silgadhi, Doti. In the beginning, this organisation was established as a club (Gramin Utthan Yuwa Club) with the objective of creating awareness among local communities through various social awareness programmes. After a few years, it got an opportunity for funding from Link Helvetas for a community empowerment and suspension bridges project. Currently they have been working with poor and marginalised people in two Rural Municipalities through peace building and livelihoods.The former President is Mrs Dolma Lama, AUSN Board of Advisers.
Vision: To see a self-reliant and discrimination free society.
Mission: To improve the living standards of marginalised people through community mobilisation, conflict transformation, education and livelihoods.
Goal: To improve the living standards of marginalised people.
Purpose/Objectives
- To support marginalised people to improve living standards;
- To build social harmony and peace in society;
- To promote a market for agriculturally produced goods;
- To support the whole community’s access to education.
